ELLOS SON EL CORDOBES MARIANO PUERTA Y EL MISIONERO JOSE ACASUSSO. Mariano Puerta sigue demostrando que está en camino a encontrar su mejor nivel. Hoy tuvo un sólido debut en el torneo Saint Polten, que se juega sobre polvo de ladrillo y reparte 325.000 euros en premios. El argentino, 39° en el ránking mundial, superó al español Alex Calatrava (87° de las listas) por 7-5,6-2.En los octavos de final, Puerta jugará ante el también español Félix Mantilla, 89° en el ranking, que doblegó a su compatriota Francisco Fogués (333°) por 7-6(10),7-5.José Acasuso (69°), en tanto, superó en tres sets al ruso Igor Andreev (tercer preclasificado) por 3-6, 6-3 y 6-2. En la siguiente ronda se cruzará con el español Nicolás Almagro (70), quien batió al croata Ivo Karlovic por 7-6 y 7-6.
